Starling Marte suspended 80 games for PEDs

All-Star Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Starling Marte tested positive for Nadrolone on Tuesday. The substance is on the MLB's extensive banned substance/performance-enhancing drugs list. The failed drug test results in the Pirates losing their two-time Gold Glove outfielder for half of the 2017 season. Starling Marte Marte's suspension could result in former MVP Andrew McCutchen moving back to his original position in center field. Adam Frazier looks to be the Pirates' immediate replacement in the outfield.
